Dr. Jolynn Chappell

Dr_Chappell_and_TaylaDr. Jolynn Chappell graduated from CSU in 1991 and after working at a small animal hospital for almost 2 years, opened Aspenwing Animal Hospital. She has a strong interest in avian and exotic companian animals and has a wonderful reputation for providing service to Wyoming, Nebraska, and Colorado for these unique pets.

Dr. Chappell is certified in Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians and has been a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians since 1989, is a member of the Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians, the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, Larimer County Veterinary Medical Association and American Medical Veterinary Association.

Her personal interests include riding her horses, training and hiking with her laboradors, and spending time with her birds.

Dr. Christine Cortney

Dr_Cortney_and_PuppyDr. Christine Cortney has been an associate at Aspenwing since 2009. A Colorado native, Christine attended Colorado State University where she received her Masters of Anatomy and Neurobiology in 2003 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Her interests include preventative healthcare of family pets, soft tissue surgery, pain management, and strengthening the human-animal bond.

Dr.Cortney’s furry family includes her four cats, Atha, Shiloh, Sampson and Chester, and her horse Guy Smiley. In her spare time, Dr. Cortney volunteers at the Larimer County Humane Society, and as an EMT Reserve with Poudre Valley Hospital. Dr. Cortney is also on a competitive dragon boat team, enjoys wood carving, and any excuse to get outdoors.
